So now instead of sending people to prison they just ask for a sum of about $6000 paid upfront(which will reduce your time by 3-6months) or pay in monthly installments of $250 for about 24months. Now instead of housing, feeding, giving you medical, or paying people to guard you which cost about 14,000 per year per prisoner it’s a $20,000 turn around per criminal. Which is good for the criminal if he can afford it. So just as long as you hide most of the money you steal or make from criminal activities, being a criminal also becomes profitable with little worry about consequences when or if you’re caught.
