I am 37, been single most of my adult life. I’ve had a few flings here and there over the years...had a chance to marry into money but I make my own money so the idea of marrying someone who didn’t have me as a top priority and couldn’t take care of herself was not appealing to me.

So here I am...37, no debt, good paying job with stellar benefits, a quickly growing portfolio of money and assets. I also have many valuable life and survival skills, as well as hands on work skills that I’ve acquired in all my free time. I do what I want, when I want with whomever I want and I answer to no one but myself.

I find the majority of women these days are “liberal” whack jobs (I use that term very loosely when referring to democrats). They all have utterly ridiculous standards for the men they seek (consequently making themselves perpetually single in the process, in a miserable unhappy way).

I won’t say I’d be happy living alone the rest of my life, that would be a lie. But not being married doesn’t bother me at all. The prospect of a woman taking all I have worked for my entire life and going to enjoy it while sleeping with other men would probably make me want to be done with it all lol. So my ideal life with a woman would be no marriage, maybe kids, a fairly secluded life on my own land in the country living a modern style homesteading existence...but I would NEVER settle for a woman that is not conservative/libertarian minded, has skills, is independent but appreciates companionship and isn’t afraid to get down and dirty and put in some work to achieve our goals. God forbid I ever accidentally impregnate a democrat...That would be the worst fate imaginable for me. I’d rather die alone.

Indeed I have. The world's oldest profession exists for a reason. It still does. After you pay them to go away, life is just fine again, perhaps even better.

I saw what I went through when married. I saw what parents went through while married. That is not something I wish to subject myself to any time ever again.

Good for you. Unfortunately for me I have a pretty strong sex drive and need sex on a fairly normal basis. I do love my wife, and yes she is awesome, and I love my kids. But part of me does kind of wish I could be alone, because it would be nice not having to please someone else and just concentrate on myself.

I fell in love with a woman 4 years older than me years ago. She just wanted to sleep with me and fun, and we were friends and she was damn sexy so I was all for it at the time...but I developed feelings, she rejected me, slept with other guys (one guy spoke 4 languages was built like a brick shit house and his name was Angel...that’s not a joke it really happened). AFTER she rejected me her wealthy father asked me to “marry her already”...I said I tried to be with her but she rejected me. He said to try harder.

Fast forward a few years...she gains a LOT of weight, realizes she’s rapidly approaching 40. She lives off of daddy’s money, has no job, went to 4 colleges and has no degree...and all of a sudden I’m her top priority. She says she was just scared before and that she has been “trying to” tell me for a whole year she wanted to be with me. Without ACTUALLY telling me of course. So I rejected her, not out of spite though, I did feel bad about it. But I felt if I had said yes I would not only be lying to her but to myself. Anyway, I’m mostly happy being single. I’d rather eve single then get myself into a position where’d I’d be unhappy for the rest of my life. I miss her sometimes, but it’s temporary.

Being single is *DEFINITELY* better than being with the wrong person.

That said - it is less practical to live alone because you have to do everything - cook, clean, and work to make money.

It is good to have teamwork where one person can go make the money while the other cooks, cleans and takes care of the house.

Also if one gets injured or sick they can help the other. Or if one loses his keys then can let the other in, etc.


It would be tough to find a girl anyway if you think kissing is icky.

When I was 34 I made that decision. I am a 52 year old woman now and it was the best decision I ever made.

Yes, neve ever want a relationship or even sex with women, or men. I am happy with being single and prefer it. I only want a relationship with God honestly.

But then again, I am very abnormal compared to most people. I feel alien. I can’t relate to any humans, liberal or conservative, atheist or religious, they all seem possessed and sheep like?

I have never had faith in people so why would I pour my heart into a person who can likely only offer me sex and companionship when God can offer true love?

I don't want to remain single my whole life although I'm not willing to change my standards to find a girlfriend. I'm also content being single because I wank to the worlds most beautiful women.

I honestly think that part of this society’s constant obsession and push for sex and romantic relationships as if they’re completely necessary for happiness, keeps people frustrated from seeking who really matters: Christ.

Humans are not meant to be alone, if you don't want to live with someone, which can be a pain in the ass if wrong one sometimes. Then have lots of lovers and relationships, keeps life exciting, if you don't want to commit.

I have reached a point in my life where I would never again live with someone, too much hassle when you're a woman, but I love the company of men and would cheerfullly have 2 or 3 boyfriends to meet up with, go to gigs, meals, pub whatever.

Haven’t always been single but am happily single now. I haven’t been in a relationship for over ten years. The only thing I find hard about being single for so long is other people always harassing you about getting back in the dating game.
