The German s entered my grandmothers yard asking to take one or two of the pigs. They said they needed to slaughter and to salt the meat to take it to the front. All night long they were walking wearing socks not to wake up my mother which was 6 years old and her sister of 4. They washed perfectly everything so that the next day at 8 everything was clean and neat. Nobody would have known 2 pigs were slaughtered that night and tranched.
