This is the latest measure that is being extended by Spain to deal with COVID-19 infections. The Government of the Balearic Islands asks users of intercity buses, metro and train to be silent during the journeys. Silence is also imposed in the transport of La Rioja. No conversations, no phone calls. Will parents be fined or arrested if their children or teens speak? If the bus or train driver speaks, and anyone gets I'll, can they sue the transport system for harm? Do those wearing ventilator biohazard suits still have to remain silent? Will anything you say before arrest be used after arrest ti incarcerate you? |

I heard some similar bells ringing in Germany.... This is seriously over the top.... Speaking in a normal tone does not necessarily propel aerosols into the air, it's mostly shouting that does this. If everyone were speaking in a normally slightly subdued tone of voice (as they should anyway in public transport), then there would be no reason to panic. No shouting, no laughter, no loud talking. It's tough enough as it is but it shouldn't be made even more tough without real reason. |
