What a world you would have us live in? One, where the choices of anyone can be invalidated because of the influence of the “white devil”.

Then let’s look at the evil white imperialism. Did you know that there are only 2 nations in the world that are geographically larger than China? It’s almost as if they collected regions, waxing and waning and waxing again over a couple of millennia to come to the political boundaries they have to day. Almost like they conquered, colonized and forced locals into an empire.

You might say Asians, ruling Asians right? Ask Koreans how they feel about being ruled by the Chinese or Japanese in the past. Or Vietnam, which even shares a lot of the same political ideology.

Look I get tired of these arguments. Yes, the US has been imperialistic. Yes that is wrong. But so has China. So has India. Yes, India is made up of different ethnic and cultural groups to that have to coexist because of past boundaries set by conquerers. Not white people either. Those boundaries were nearly where they are now a long time ago..

Bottom line is, you can only start from now and where local populations want to be. The Taiwanese are some of the most advanced people in the world, in spite of their small size and don’t want China screwing with that they way they have Hong Kong. Either people have a right and ability to make that choice or we might as well go back to the age of conquest.
