Xi Jin Ping is a sovereignist/nationalist not a world conquering globalist like the One World Order gang from the West. China never waged an aggressive imperial war in it's history.

National borders in every nation leading up to the modern world are the result of conquest mostly, and treaty only in very specific circumstances. China is multiethnic and multicultural over a geographic area thar far exceeds the heartland of China, and those lands were taken by force. You can change the name to the People’s Republic of China and it won’t change the fact that it was formed through imperialism That is the same thing saying as England is an imperialist country because of the English lands it conquered in the British Isles (within their own cultural sphere). No, that is not it, Britain was an imperialist country because it conquered lands beyond their cultural sphere in Africa, Asia. Globalism is imperialism 2.0 or neo-imperialism. The USA is using their naval force to protect their trade routes or sabotage trade routes of a rising competing economical power. And this has nothing to do with communism, heck even if China was a liberal democracy we would still see tensions.
