It think it is simple, but comfortable. Opened it with horror (I listened to a lot of self-made-music) and I was positively impressed.

Sounds like a film score, OP. Definitely brought up visual images and feelings for me (someone running, excited, happy, giving or have just gotten good news). I'd say you have genuine talent and should keep working to refine it.

take this constructive to help you move forward.

1 over quantized, no feel
2 way too fast, again no feel
3 way to digital/harsh, no warmth in the instruments

so slow it down and play the virtual instruments live with no quantize then go into midi editor and fix the mistakes.
lastly separate the tracks and eq, compress, add some reverb or room ambience and maybe a tape saturator to get a warm classical feel like it's real string instruments.

the arrangement is nice if it was slowed down to feel it.

music is 90% about mood, 10% technical.

It was actually at 38 seconds in when it turned into a symphonic slug fest.

I could totally see some animals doing crazy shit with this song as background music.

i can do that, I have a modeled instrument that plays a mean bagpipe, but it's incredibly hard to imitate real life articulations without any real world experience.

Don't know if it will work for what you're trying to accomplish but bagpipes make everything extra cool....In my opinion.

I think there is an AC DC song that starts with bag pipes that sounded weird to me originally but then it grew on me.

Also, if you're not familiar with 2 brothers who play cellos you should check ghemmout, really neat how they've taken modern, mostly top 40 songs, and some rock music and changed the arrangements. They're called 2 Cellos

i'd like to hear it between 82-88 BPM and not 100+, it might be more lovely.
