I've found the same thing happens with women. I go went a long time not being able to find one that was interested, once I found one seems like they were everywhere.

Companies fiscal years begin/end in February. That means all of them get their new budgets in February and as such the month or two leading up to February are your BEST chances (especially in a field with minimum flexibility in budgets like IT/IS) to get a new job.

It happened because you stopped saying to yourself, "I'm out of work...", and started saying, "I have a job now!"

Then all of a sudden and a number of rounds of interviews, I'm nearly in for a position. They won't say yes, but they're pretty damn sure it's going to happen. BUT, dragging their feet.

Meanwhile, offer #2 comes in. Of course offer #1 comes in a day or two later after noticing my delay in interest.

Offer #2 came in 15 minutes before I'm interviewing at Offer #3 location. Manager of #3 says if you are sitting here, you're hired.

Take the best one and don't stop looking. Steps up often happen that way. Keep taking the best one until the offers stop coming in.

Things will always happen this way. Your fortitude and conviction are being tested. Choose wrong and the cycle will come up again. Choose wisely and learn life lessons. The path of learning is never easiest.

It's simple, when your available no one cares about you, but once your taken your more employable, same as having a wedding ring on, once married and your ring is on, women find you more appealing. crazy to say the least.
