I waited till the last minute to visit Lowe's for ice melt. I was there one hour ago as the snow started falling. LOTS of people there buying ice melt plus snow shovels.

I predict the ice melt will be gone in about an hour.

At the end of the season last year, I purchased 4 snow shovels. They were on clearance for $2.00 each. Now, the same ones are $20.00 each.

I was in the Mid-Atlantic for 1996's storm and for the Blizzard of 1993

so I was there for 1995 too!

That just means its time to bring out the snowmobiles and have fun.

Having storm damage water leaking into home. I’m direct east ocean facing. Winds 50 mph. Wishing this was snow instead of sleet.

yes, water is far more damaging along with wind than snow would be.
