THE LOVE OF THE ONE

There were days when the home of brother Temelko was filled with guests. The people were coming from the city as well as from all parts of the countryside. Every one wished to see the Master, to speak with him, to receive instructions as well as encouragement and advice. The Master received guests privately or in groups in his small room where he listened to them and conversed with them. The luncheons were held in common, as in a family. The small dining room was overfilled with guests, and the sisters served. After lunch, we usually sang a few songs and then the Master would speak.

One brother asked, "During these unsettled times, what should the brothers and sisters do?"

The Master replied:

"Study the lectures and sermons. One needs to start from the very beginning and apply them. Every Word is given under a particular conjunction of the planets and the sun. We are influenced by the celestial bodies: the earth, the sun, and the central Sun as well. And in every position of these three celestial bodies - and the remaining ones as well - the Idea and the Word of God is made manifest in a special way."

Then the Master explained:

"God has given to all beings that which is necessary. However, cases exist in which the human soul passes from one state into another. During these transient states dusk and darkness may intrude into man's consciousness until he returns to the Divine Consciousness - to Love in which Light and Joy abide. It is necessary for man to pass through these transient states as a condition for his evolution. During these transient states, he still remains within the realm of Love, but the clouds of his consciousness obscure the Light. Therefore, when you are sad, you must realize that you are passing from one state of your consciousness into another. This passing from the human consciousness to the Divine always brings something new. Someone says, 'I experience much suffering.' The greater and the longer the suffering is, the greater and stronger the states of joy and love will be which will come as a consequence of the first state. This can be verified. It is not an abstraction, but science.

"Man must see God's Love in the least things. When God created the world, He held man in His Mind, Heart, Soul and Spirit. Because of this, man must look at the Creation of the world as a sacred Act of Love, and he must be ready to make every sacrifice for his Creator.

"When all abandon you and you remain alone, you must understand that there is One who is with you. God will tell you, 'You are not alone. Be still: I am with you always.' Not one of you has had this experience of terrible loneliness.

"The only Being who thinks of us in every moment and never forgets us - not even for a single instant - is God, the Great One, towards whom everyone must strive.

"The only cause of suffering - the misery of life - is for us to come to experience God's Great Love and to know that Providence will deliver us from all suffering and misery in life. This we will come to understand at the end of all times.

"All trials through which you pass at present are for the sole purpose of coming to know God: the Primary Cause. And when you come to know Him, joy will appear.

"Someone thinks that he has been forgotten. This is a misunderstanding. No one can remove you from the Divine Consciousness. The minute that man thinks that he is a separate being, he creates his own adversity.

"The man who is one with the Divine has a distinctive quality; he does not have fear. He does not think about what will happen to him, nor what people will think of him. The power of man rests in his faith in the Divine Order. Externally, God withdraws from us in order not to disturb us; but internally, He enters us in order to encourage us. Much turmoil may occur in the world. Downfalls and advances alike may occur in man. Yet, in whatever situation he may find himself, God always keeps one and the same relationship toward him. You die, God gives you a Blessing. You err, again God gives you a Blessing.

"All suffering and joy originate from God's Love. Why? You do not understand His Love, and in not understanding it, you pass through suffering. There is no greater joy than to realize that you are alive, that

there is One who loves you. From within, He tells you, 'Fear not: I will arrange everything for you. The day will come when you will receive my Blessing.'

"If you could go to one of the higher worlds, you would find there many who love you and send you their good thoughts and feelings.

"He who comes to understand God's Love will never ask who God is.

"If you accumulate the love of all of humankind - of all the saintly, good and righteous people, of all the Angels and the heavenly Deities - their love would represent a minute part of God's Love.

"I say, 'Blessed is humankind because of God's Love.' Your adversity comes from your lack of knowledge of God's Love for you. One thing is expected of you: to realize that He who loves you does everything for your good.

"God's Love rests in His constant giving. This is called influx. When the opposite process takes place, life becomes meaningless. As long as this influx from His Life to ours occurs, we are enlivened and joyful.

"Why did God create you? In order that there might be someone to love.

"Why are we on the earth? In order that we may come to know how to love God. As long as a man is not connected with God, he resembles a man who is stranded on a desert island.

"Only the Infinite is able to shut the door to evil: the door to the bad conditions.

"God's Greatness does not lie in the Creation of the suns and galaxies. This He can accomplish in a single instant.

"But you are sad: everyone is pushing you around. You need a little help. Everyone who passes you by says, 'Nothing will come of this person.' Yet God - the Creator of the Universe - stops His Work, descends without being noticed, and whispers to you, 'Fear not. Do not be discouraged. I will help you. Even today, I will settle your affairs.' And you have a flash of joy. These are the great things which God does. This is the great Truth.

"I speak of God who visits people in their broken and sorrowful hearts. He lifts the downcast to the summit of Divine Consciousness in order that they may do as all do: breathe pure air and take in Divine Light.

"Every being is a unique form through which the Divine Consciousness manifests. Therefore. God watches over each form as He

would over a delicate flower in order that the Divine may manifest through it.

"What is 'Eternal Bliss'? Eternal Bliss is the sum total of countless small blessings which flow continuously like a wellspring composed of countless small droplets which come without interruption.

"The Great One has a particular quality: He attracts the most to Himself those who hate Him.

"The evil in the world is due to our lack of understanding of the conditions in which we find ourselves. God is not angry with us because of our errors. It offers Him the opportunity to manifest His Mercy towards us and correct them. After five, six years have passed you will come to understand the consequences of your errors and will make amends.

"For example, consider the man who builds a nice home and rents it to some tenants who manage to ruin it within a year. I interpret: God has created the world very intelligently, but we ruin it and search for the cause outside of ourselves instead of within.

"The Law states: God loves all beings equally. But not all benefit from His Love. Some are aware of this, and others are not. God loves human beings as much as the Angels, but the difference is that the Angels are aware of God's Love and receive it, whereas human beings are not always aware of it.

"Consider some foolish people who build a house but put only one small window in it. Others build a house with large windows through which abundant light passes. You may say, 'Look how this man is showered with plenty.' This is so, because his windows are larger. Depending upon the size of the window that you open that much light and that much air will enter. God's Blessings - the light and the air - will enter of their own accord as soon as you open up. And yet, they will enter only as much as your window permits. In this same way, you will receive the Power and Blessings of the Divine World according to how much the windows of your consciousness and your soul are open.

"God's Blessings infuse all beings. Inferior beings cannot retain them. Everything flows out. We must become still like the motionless surface of the water in order for God's image to reflect in us. If He is reflected in us, we will progress. If the image of God does not reflect in us, we will remain such as we are. We must be pure in order that God's image may reflect in us. Peace and purity are the two conditions for God's image to reflect in us. As long as we do not believe in God, we are not able to receive His Love.

"God never lets blind people spread His Light. God withdraws His gifts from the foolish man, so that others will withdraw their trust in him as well and not be deceived. God will place the foolish man in bed, so that he might not lie and abuse another's confidence.

"Sometimes people think that God is angry with us. We think that God is angry with us, while in reality, we are the angry ones. We see our image in God and say that He is angry with us. Put aside this delusion. God is not a god of anger. God is the God of Love. Because we become angry, we think that God, too, is angry. This is our concept. When God punishes you, this punishment is His lesson that we might turn to the right direction.

"I will tell you one great Truth: to every being, God manifests His Love in a specific way. God's Love for every being is specific."

It is the aim of your long journey through the incarnations on earth, to learn UNCONDITIONAL LOVE again, because this way you can let go of all the burdens of human experiences and live in JOY and LOVE forever after. LOVE is the purpose and destination of Mankind.

Actually everyone is able to learn UNCONDITIONAL LOVE without any instructions at all - and this is what we should have done a long time ago: Many, many times, before entering your mother's womb for each of your past incarnations, you have thought of chances and opportunities to learn UNCONDITIONAL LOVE in the incarnation to come, advised by wise and LOVING Teachers of LIGHT; for all the terrible and painful experiences of your past, your misfortune, your defeats, your ailments and your innumerous 'deaths' have awakened a deep longing for LOVE in your heart, a longing to learn it for good this time - to finally end this torture by carmic force, the eternal births and eternal deaths once and for all...

What were those chances and opportunities? You may have decided, that you want to experience some of the following situations (you probably chose several situations, so that there would not be just one chance, but a second and a third), maybe...

parents that prefer your brother and put you down;
- a sister who constantly teases you;
- a friend who takes advantage of your trust;
- a lover who causes you deepest sorrow;
- a beloved child that hates you and wants to do everything it's own way;
- a beloved and trusted business partner, who misuses your trust;
- a brother turned criminal who endangers your public reputation;
- a beloved nephew with drug addiction who is constantly asking you for money;
- a beloved husband or wife who deceives you and leaves you in debt, as a pauper...

For the casting of these sequences you asked other souls to help you realize your deepest wish. Those who consented were those that LOVED you most - because their parts would demand to hurt to in your innermost heart, and only a soul who LOVED you like that could be offering you this self-sacrifice! (By the way, other souls asked you to do likewise for them, and you, too, agreed out of an equally deep LOVE).

Now you were born and the play of incarnation was enfolding again, and the sequences followed as planned, and the actors were playing their parts according to the script, and so the pains and sorrows were enfolding for you, because the people you loved most were doing you 'wrong'...

And what did YOU do? You followed your habits of former incarnations - business as usual: You cried and cried, feeling pity for yourself, and finally developped a stubborn resistance. You became agressive, hated this person and everyone else and closed your heart, even built thick walls around it, made of fear. And you decided never to see this person again, never to love anymore, never to trust anymore, because people were mean and would disappoint you anyway. And you grew old, bitter and hard, hateful, sick and lonely.

And when you were finally released by death, you realized that you had once again missed the chance of your life - to learn to LOVE! Because you could have decided, as a result of a conscious process of thinking, to just keep on loving this person who had hurt you so much, no matter what that person had done to you, accepting him the way he was, no matter what... and then that painful situation would have ended, giving way to harmony, and your relation to this person and all the other people in your life would have been harmonized, too, because you would have been in UNCONDITIONAL LOVE from then on...

Yes, my dear brothers and sisters, it is that simple to find UNCONDITIONAL LOVE, and yet is has been the hardest thing of the world for Men... it was TOO hard for them, so hard that GOD in HIS-HER unending LOVE has decided to show them still another way, an even simpler way to enable them to ascend, together with Earth, overcoming darkness within themselves.

JOY

"People today are sorrowful. When the Divine comes, Joy will come.

"The meaning of life and its fulfillment are dependent upon a fundamental understanding of Love. Where there is Love, there is also Life. And where there is Life, there is Joy as well. All are joyful in that home where Love abides.

"Those who do not comprehend Love, Wisdom and Truth will weep. It has been said, 'Their sorrow will be turned into Joy.'

"The love which does not bring Joy and Light is not real. Hell is the place where Love is missing. Where there is no Love, Wisdom or Truth - there hell is. Where there is Love, Wisdom and Truth - there Heaven is.

"Is it possible that sorrow will not dwell in a home where there is no Love? When Love comes, you will say, 'All the suffering which may come 1 will bear with joy.'

"When you have Love, you are happy and have energy for work. When you lose Love, you fall into despair. When the mother loses her child, when the brother loses his sister, when someone loses his friend -then despair comes.

"When Love enters into a man's heart, the world takes on a different appearance. You will find everything agreeable, and you will work with joy. When you love, the world opens lip for you, and you then perceive it as beautiful - as you have never seen it before. If you have no Love, the world is dark and incomprehensible to you."

THE BODY OF LOVE

Present-day people see and are conscious of only their physical bodies. They study the body's anatomical structure, and its physiological functions, and they are amazed at its complex and wise organization. Because of this, they begin to think that not only physical life, but man's soul life as well, is nothing more than a manifestation of the body. If the body disappears, man as an individual being also disappears.

It is true that the physical body is destroyed after death. But that which is destroyed and disappears cannot be the real abode of man, of his soul, of his spirit.

Neither are the real vehicles of man those finer bodies - the etheric, the astral and mental bodies of which occults science speaks.

Occult science maintains that man has seven bodies. Their various names and classifications you will find in occult literature.

These bodies, through which the perfect man functions, actually exist. But not all seven might be called, in the real sense of the word, "bodies." In fact, only three of them are bodies, and the other four are sheaths.

I give a new interpretation to these three essential bodies, and call them the body of Love, the body of Wisdom and the body of Truth.

The body of Love - the real body of man, which never dies - is at present being built, but only its foundations are laid. The other two immortal bodies - the body of Wisdom and the body of Truth - exist only in germ. Special epochs will come for their development.

The whole life of man, in the physical, the astral, the mental, and the archetypal worlds, has as its only aim to prepare the material for the building of the body of Love.

Love permeates these four worlds, the four sheaths of man. These four sheaths are the laboratories in which the material necessary for the building of the body of Love is being formed.

These sheaths are only some of the means by which Love reveals itself. Continuous changes take place within them - they themselves appear and disappear according to certain periodic laws. These sheaths are changeable, but a part of them never disappears, and remains as constant spirit-germs for the physical, astral and mental.

The Higher Self is something like an atmosphere for these spirit-germs. It is connected with a world, which contains the possibilities of the physical, the astral, and the mental worlds.

Before man enters the world of Love, he must pass through the world of archetypes where total reconciliation of all contradictions takes place. The archetypal world is the world of reconciliation.

The world of Love in its essence is the permanent world in which everything is brought to realization. It is the great world in which life truly realizes itself.

Therefore it is only in the world of Love that all of the wishes which man has in the physical, astral, and mental worlds are realized. They may be realized only when the body of Love is fully developed.

When I speak of Love in man, I mean the development of this body. Only when it has been developed will man be resurrected and gain eternal life.

Then he will be free from all of the restrictions and difficulties of temporal life. He will no longer be subject to the abrupt changes, which are connected with periodic births and deaths. He will not continually be born and die, but will live eternally. He will continue to be among men, not according to the karmic law, but with the freedom of Love. He will appear among men as a Son of God, to help them.

A man who has this body, who has attained resurrection, can be visible and invisible. The whole earth is open to him and no barriers, physical or spiritual, exist for him.

All of Living Nature knows him and responds to him. He is known to the most evil of men and to the wildest of beasts, and they are obedient to him.

He who lives in the body of Love has no enemies, for he brings life, peace, and the realization of every cherished wish. He brings gratification of all needs to all beings.

To have the body of Love means to manifest Love, to live Love.

And Love is eternal life and eternal rejuvenation, eternal knowledge of God and eternal increase of freedom.

Today people divide Christ into aspects such as "historical," "cosmic," "mystical" and so on. But Christ in his essence is one and indivisible.

There is only one Christ - the living Christ who is the manifestation of God, the manifestation of Love.

Christ is God revealing Himself to the world.

As a manifestation of God, Christ cannot be separated from Him, cannot be considered apart from Him.

And when I speak of Christ, I do not mean an abstract principle, but rather an actual incarnation of Love.

Love is the greatest reality and not an abstraction. It has form, content and meaning.

Christ - whatever conception people have of him as "historical," as "cosmic," as "mystical," - gave to the earth the fullest expression of Love.

This is because as an historic personality, as a cosmic essence, and as a mystical experience, Christ is and remains the most perfect expression of Love.

Indeed, no other man on earth before Christ had greater love than His.

There is neither in the cosmos without, nor in the mystic depths of the soul within, a fuller expression of Love than that which we personify in Christ.

Therefore, how are the words "historical," "cosmic," and "mystical" to be understood?

Manifested on the earth at a certain historical moment as the ideal man, as an example of the real man, Christ is "historical." And the times in which he lived bear witness to Him: "Behold, the man! Behold, the true man in whom Love, Wisdom, and Truth live, and who applies them."

When he is experienced in the inward depths, he is "mystical," and when he is comprehended and known as God manifested in the world, he is "cosmic."

The physical side of Christ is all of humanity united in one body. All human souls, in which Christ lives, united into one - this is the physical aspect of Christ.

All angels, gathered into the heart of Christ, represent his spiritual aspect.

And all divine beings, united in the mind of Christ, are his divine aspect.

This is the "cosmic" Christ, God manifested in the world.

That is why the mystic sees Christ everywhere - as the great Brother of humanity, the archetype of man, the First-Born in the world, the beginning of the human race, the beginning of human evolution. The First-Born who developed and manifested all divine virtues, who applied all divine laws.
