Private party sales never needed a background check where I live. This would require registration of private party acquired guns.

That's not the same thing as a registration. They don't know what kind of gun or guns you are buying just that you are attempting to buy a firearm.

Technically you're correct? Both HR5717 and HR 127 are both in committee last I checked status. 127 had no co-sponsors and 5717 had around 10, all Demoncrats.

The important take-away is: No matter if they pass or not, YOU NOW KNOW WHAT THEY WILL DO if given the opportunity!
