I believe that is clearly predictive programming.
Did you know this? NIN's lead singer, Trent Reznor, once lived and recorded in the Los Angeles home where members of the Manson Family brutally murdered actress Sharon Tate — director Roman Polanski’s wife, who was eight months pregnant at the time — and four others. Reznor dubbed his home recording studio “Le Pig”, a reference to the word “pig” having been written in Tate’s blood on the home’s front door by one of the killers.

Admittedly, Year Zero and The Downward Spiral are incredible records. He's a fucked up guy though, for sure. And with the news of Marilyn Manson going down, one of his best friends, I have to wonder if that is symbolic too. Anyone, you should keep in mind these are spirits people house by choices. He goes in place, a spirit in there helps him mold his artwork and wallah. Could be tho', just keep in mind as time goes on. I never thought of it like that, but yea, that could totally be true! Well it's true and helps on compassion or recognizing it is not the sinner, but the sin that makes what happen, happen.
