I rooted the whole way but also saw when it was time to stop pushing people to buy. You cannot claim to be the "good guys" when you are bankrupting people and calling them retard for trusting you!

No one got played.

It was a short squeeze attempt by bulls, institutional and retail. The short squeeze fizzled by the manipulation and tricks of the shorts to drive the price down. There was a gamma squeeze that occurred in Pre market trading that forced the price up to 513, but after that high point, it dipped as more and more new shorts were entered and old shorts closed.

Because the shares being acquired were not owned by a single entity, this was not similar to the VW squeeze of 2008.

The issue was, the retail gang, had illusions of wealth clouding judgement. The stock was (using round numbers) $5 and grew to $500 at the height of the squeeze, that should've been the signal to get out. I was greedy, got hurt, and learned a lesson.

Short squeezes can go on for years. look at tesla. the folks who were short gamestop at 6 are going to love being short gamestop at 350, 500, 1000, 3000. It's free money forever when it gets back down to earth.

This is far from over. The amount of synthetic shares being created from options trading ( writhing calls then exercising them) is going to be crazy if the shareholders of real stocks hold . The cost to keep this going is huge for the hedge funds.
