Aside from the rise of covid, basically all 12 plagues of egypt have been simultaniously consuming the majority of china, africa and the middle east, with several lighter plagues hitting european and american countries, but with 1/3rd of the worlds food being wiped out by locust wrath last year alone, and the rise of swine flu, and various forms of cattle flu hitting all over the world, right now poverty even at the extreme level of 6/8 billion people being in constant states of poverty, it might hit up to 6.5 billion in poverty, with 12% consuming the food and wasting up to 50% of the food they purchase, and that not having virtually any form of change coming anytime soon
