Being in Georgia, barely anything is or was ever shut down. Almost everyone is still working. They are making their normal salaries and using the stimulus to go on trips and buy new TVs. I don't get the stimulus because I made too much money, but I just sit there in awe at all the people just wanting more and more, and they are still working FFS! It shouldn't be going to working people (and there are a ton of working minorities in Georgia, especially Atlanta, so this is NOT a race thing). Obviously, all whites aren't working and all blacks haven't been laid off. For people in my region, there are still a lot of help wanted signs, so when people are whining about wanting their stimulus money, they are pretty lazy and selfish people.

Now, if you are in a dem area what is totally shut down (poor suckers never learn about democrats) they might be more desperate and actually NEED the money. IDK, though, both my kids are in dem areas and both have continued to work through the epidemic, so even there not everyone needs the money.

All the racist innuendo crap aside... I'm almost 50... I haven't recieved one stimulus check, unemployment check... nothing except some food stamps. Which I have realized can be streached with coupons etc... and you can also buy seeds for gardening etc... which ends up more than doubling your food.

Other than that I have watched the people around me slowly give up looking for paying jobs. I work for a small bussiness in the resturant industry. The former employees make more money from unemployment, and if you get one thing you will usually qualify for another... so... Yeah... They are so tired, but they look at me like I'm nuts, because I want to work... I mean don't get me wrong... If I had enough money... I'd live off grid etc... but I don't... I'm going to keep working, because people are falling like flies... I'm going to stay in the work force, and watch what separates the survivors from the going out of bussiness types.

I have always wanted my own bussiness... and I'm glad I get to see this as a non bussiness owner... when all this corona stuff is over many people will have finachial ptsd type mentality... if you've never expierianced financhial trauma you are so lucky... I can sniff it out, and tell who's expierianced it, and who hasen't. I don't know how I will use this ability yet... but I'm sure there is a lesson for my bussiness future here.

I'm tring to scoop up deals on repo'd kitchen equipment... and there is a lot of that right now so pickings, and prices should be right. For a time food trucks were making more money than brick, and morter stores... because no one could eat in the resturant anyways. When things start to return to some type of normal this will change again. I'm getting ready to scoop up some of those too...

Novel, exotic, foods and expiriances are not going to be a priority when the collective is in uncertian times... when people are craving is some predictability, comfort, and warmth in a cold, cold world.

I will center my menu on commfort foods that remind some of us of home, and make others wish the came from a family that cooked together. High profit, low priced commfort foods. Simple, and basic. I was shocked to learn just how many people can't even make mashed potatoes from scratch... it boggles the mind.

I heard... don't know if it's true or not, but that in the ol' days of the gold rush... the people who made the most... were the ones in supportive rolls to the gold seekers... Ie: the shovel sellers, the laundry doers, the cooks, the shop keepers... (even the prostitutes, and bar owners, (but that's beside the point)) lol

So... anyways... quit focusing on the laziness of these said people you talk about OP... and focus on the others... This is a time to learn, not same ol' same ol' bulling people who are different... and you miss out on observations... Learn, learn, learn.
