Got out of a ticket

I got pulled over this morning
Cop asked me for my license and registration.
He told me I ran a stop sign.
"I didn't see it officer", I said.
How did you miss it? he asked.
"well I might have been distracted"
Distracted?! how?
"I was thinking about fried chicken"
Fried chicken? what kind of an excuse is that!?
I never heard THAT one before!
"Sorry Officer"
Did you think you could get out of a ticket with that fried chicken thing?
"Well, I never thought about that sir"
You made the whole fried chicken thing up didn't you!
"Yessir"
Made it up. you lied to me didn't you
"yessir"
What else did you lie to me about?
"Well, I lied about you pulling me over....."
You did!?!
You lied about me pulling you over?!?
"yessir"
