It's been below zero for days!! Texans can take the heat!! They are unaccustomed to prolonged cold. I lived there and it usually warms up in a day or two. This has lasted longer than most people have ever had to prepare for plus it hasn't been this cold in well over a century.

*Use car to warm up on and off.
*Layers and blankets lots of them. If you don’t have blankets, towels will work as well. You may just have to sleep under them including your head to create heat. Once warm enough slip head a tiny bit. You can also use sofa cushions and pillows to lay on-top of you to keep warm as well.
