The above gives great tips but little on technique.

Ideally use 3 basins. A wash basin, a rinse basin and a final rinse basin. Each should have a separate cloth or sponge.

Start with your cleaest areas first and move on to your privates last. I use alcohol wipes for the feet (so a separate issue) and never use foot water or private water anywhere else on body.

Was and rinse each areas separately. Then after all is done repeat the process with the final rinse basin. Adding a splash of vinegar to the final rinse will go a long way to feeling fresh and the acidity will help the proper microbiome to establish.

Don't forget to save all your waste water to flush toilets.

For those who don't know, to flush toilets with waste water you need about a gallon of water or more if really bad.

Start from about 12-18 inches above the bowl and pour quickly into the bowl. It should flush automatically without using the handle.

You do not pour anything into the tank.

Thawing out storage bins full of snow might help but it might also make your environment colder if you have no heat source.

Also be aware you need ALOT of snow for one gallon.

Burning tea light in clay pots will keep small areas warmish.
