5 ft of plastic tubing if you get a tea pot make sure the tubing will fit over the spout tightly or inside the hole in the spout tightly.

Re: Alchemy
Ok op we are going to keep this simple. Materials you will need coffee filters a small funnel 3 1 quart Mason jars with lids and rings 3 half pint mason jelly jars with lids and rings or old pickles jars as will old jelly jars will work to as long as you have the lids. A Low Hi coffee cup warmer and a old tea pot with lid and spout porcelain will work or stainless steel your choice 3 ft of plastic tubing now you can do a search on the web for how to make a distller using a tea pot. And you will need a hot plate the hot plate will be used to distll your alcohol .when distilling the alcohol off no open flames and not to be done on a gas stove .

So the cost will be under 20 to 30 dollars check out second hand stores or thrift shops you might be able to find most of what you need for a really cheap price.or garage sales.

Let me know when you have the needed matrials. Then the fun begins.

Great news! I'll start to get everything together and let you know when I have them all.

Cheers.

Re: Alchemy
If you want to make a cheap condenser you can use a small bucket just drill holes one on each side and run the hose through it and seal around the holes fill the bucket with cold water and some ice . That means a longer piece of hose.

Thanks for this innovative advice Alkem it's really kind of you to do that.

The thing is I don't want to waste the opportunity you've presented me with so I'm getting the money together to buy a lab distillation kit. The flasks on the one I'm hoping to buy are 1000ml, is that big enough?

Thank you.

What ever you decide thats ok but one thing you will need is the coffee warmer with a high and low setting because the stone is confected at a 90 degree or 32 Celsius heat and the low setting on the coffee warmer works best that is what I use.

Great stuff I'll get one of those too. The flask is round bottomed. The kit includes a hot plate, a condenser and a separator. I have an electric solder pot too which can be converted to a sand bath. I'll let you know when it all arrives. Cheers Alkem.

Hi Alkem.

My kit will be here by this time next week. Ive got the jars and everything else ready.

I have a question for you. I once made a Spagyric by soaking the plant in ethanol removing it and then adding more fresh plant to the tincture. It made it much stronger. Is it possible to do the same with an Ens?

Cheers.

Re: Alchemy
I don't see why not. Now according to Paracelsus the Ens tenture is among the most powerful medicine. But anyone can make a tenture throw plant material in a jar and add alcohol or oil of tartar and make the extraction that's a no big deal.
To truly make Ens tenture or stone you must know the plants ruling planet and the correct day and hr of the week to start the work I have just revealed 2 keys to you.

Re: Alchemy
Now the day is 24 hrs and if you divide it by 3 you get 8 the ruling planet has 3 times in a day that it rules with sunrise being the first hour then 7 hr later it rules for the eighth hour and so on until the next sunrise then the next planet rules because its the start of a new day.

Every day is ruled by a different planet always keep that in mind when working with plants. And all plants have a ruling planet this is a key to the work

For example lets take dandelion you would think because it has a bright yellow flower it would be ruled by the sun but that is not the case or that it would be ruled by the moon because it looks like the moon when it seeds out but that is not the case it is ruled by Jupiter and Jupiter rules Tuesday. So that is when you would start working with it you wouldn't want to take any plant that is ruled by Jupiter and start work on it say Thursday which is ruled by venus. Do you under stand ponder what I have written this is key to the work.

I'm a bit confused by the first paragraph. I know that the ruling planet rules for the whole day (24hrs) but I don't understand the significance of dividing the day into 3. Is it because the planet's influence is stronger at the beginning of those 8hr cycles?

The Dandelion example is very clear. And I haven't been adhering to any of that. I've just been making stuff as and when I've got anything to work with. This adds a whole different layer of meaning to my understanding of Alchemy. I can appreciate how this works and I'm very excited at the thought of working at that level.

Thanks Alkem.

Re: Alchemy
Yes the planet is the strongest at those time of the day with the first hour being the best time to start the work. That is when it is at it's strongest point. Being sunrise.

Hope that helps clarify things.

It's considered as a 'planetary access point' so I would say any day.

Cheers Alkem!

Sorry I couldn't be more interactive I was at work earlier.

I have a question for you -

What are the spiritual and practical (for making other preparations) benefits of making a Plant Stone?

Re: Alchemy
When working with plants or metals it's good to maybe do a little meditation work holding the material in your hands asking for guidance or what you hope to accomplish and focus on intentions There are a lot of alchemists these days that really aren't religious at all they just enjoy the work.

If your intentions are spiritual development the focus on that and look for plants that will assist you in the work.

If you want to make medicines to heal work plants that can heal.

I myself usually just meditate and ask for guidance before I fall asleep. If you look at any alchemy manuscript and read through it you will see that 99 percent always praised God an gave Glory to him before starting the work and after finishing the work if they were successful or not. It's reallly up to you how you want to approach this particular aspect.

Re: Alchemy
I want to add that alot alchemists were hermits or friars and monks some were physician's and if you talk about it with family and friends they tend to look at you like your nuts. Just try to keep a balance between it and family or your friends don't shut your self off from the outside world ok.
