The one women said it took firefighters 45 minutes to stop the water from coming into her apartment. It might have been more complicated in an apartment building/complex than turning the water off in one's house. Last Edited by nutmeg on 02/17/2021 01:37 PM |

If so, did you know how to turn the water off in the upstairs apartment? Many of these videos show water coming from upstairs apartments, but you're blaming it on democrats? OMG How funny. As I said above, it took firefighters 45 minutes to stop the flow of water in one apartment complex. Next you'll say that firefighters are clueless. Why is it that some people here are so hateful with blame instead of being compasionate to others who are in a bad situation? Last Edited by nutmeg on 02/17/2021 01:53 PM |

I would think the apartment OWNER would or at least should care enough to protect his own property and shut it off no? No water sucks but not as bad as being flooded. |

Anonymous Coward User ID: 80061203 United States 02/17/2021 02:56 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | It should be mandatory for apartment complexes and hotels to have their own emergency backup generation systems... Quoting: Anonymous Coward 80047824 I would not live in one that didnt... Considering they have tornado's and other storms all the time... I cant believe how poorly prepared everybody really is in this situation... Texas is woefully ill-prepared for ANY issue that goes slightly abnormal. I just dont know why this is, but it is. |

User ID: 76388104 United States 02/17/2021 03:34 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | For all of you "know it alls" calling people stupid because they didn't shut off their water..... Q. Where can I find master water shut off valve in a Condominium Apartment? A. I’ve worked on many apartments in many different apartment type units. Many complexes are built with only a single water cutoff for the entire apartment building. There is one shutoff in a common mechanical room somewhere for all apartments in that building unit. I’ve run into a few where you have to shut off the water at the street, where the meter is. [link to www.quora.com (secure)] Last Edited by nutmeg on 02/17/2021 03:37 PM |

Quoting: Anonymous Coward 80061203 I am not sure if Texans know this (since their winters are always so mild) so I just wanted to say it in case they arent aware of this tip. Turn your main water valve off.... What is wrong with these people! |
