Actually I think it is only bad karma if you play a role in their demise.

Feeling joy at the termination of evil people is actually pretty normal and healthy reaction.

My Mother read the obituaries every day in Newsday; the Long Island Newspaper; and I can still hear her exclaiming "Good!" when she read that someone who was nasty checked out of the world.

When I was in 5th grade a teacher screamed at me, for no reason at all.

I mean screamed; and I was a very quiet and polite girl who never "got in trouble".

So My mother wrote a note to the teacher saying "my daughter is a good and quiet girl what you did was wrong"

I handed it to the teacher and they looked at it and laughed and crushed it and tossed it in the waste basket.

Roughly a week later Mother & I were reading Newsday; and lo and behold there was a big story saying the teacher (he was a man teacher) had dropped dead of a massive heart attack while coaching boys soccer after school...apparently another assignment he had.

Me and Mommy looked at each other and did not say a word; but both of us busted out into huge grins after reading the story!

this is like 45 years ago so a loong time ago.

Mother died in 2018; she was 90.
