Two things about RL that I had serious problems with. His -opinion- about nutrition was #1. He often stated that "it doesn't matter what you eat, etc. Your health outcome will be the same. Could his lung cancer have been prevented? IMHO, definitely yes. Because vitamin c has a positive and direct effect on the lungs, a diet that revolves around uptake of vitamin c would make a difference. Tobacco smoke depletes vitamin c. And cigars are the worst. So in his case, he was always deficient, and self poisoning. And it really is a shame if people were swayed by his opinion on that count. But then, there are a lot of ignorance out there anyway. Secondly, he had to push the income tax fear propaganda, #1, no one is allowed to question that subject on the airways. You can say almost anything else. So his sponsors were manipulating his audience with fear of being delinquent, his audience being mostly property owners who, I'll bet, took those commercials very seriously. So yeah, those could be viewed as serious deal breakers. But the saving Grace was that he exposed the hypocrisy of the left like nobodies business, and had fun doing it, and that's what will be hard to replace.
