I started listening to Rush in 1989. I didn’t always agree with Rush, but he had been a constant voice of reason and opinion I calued, even when I disagreed with him . He had the unique ability to take absurd positions of liberals and illustrate the absurd by taking liberal opinions to their natural conclusion and have fun. I esp like his playing “my boy lollipop” when doing a Barney Frank update. Remember him? The Congressman pimp who ran a gay bordello out of his apartment and sold time with his partner as tricks? He also made fun of a law school slut who wanted the government to pay for condums so she could engage in more guilt free sex. Oh, and pay for her abortion procedure if the free condum failed. Rush was sometimes bombastic. But he saved talk radio on the am dial. If you like listening to your organic gardening show on the weekends - you can thank Rush for making talk radio profitable and for those fringe “how to” shows even possible.
