Do you have a $1 in your pocket? That bill is actually worth less than the value of the paper it is printed on. Let that, like the ink on it, sink in. Monetary value is velocity. No, monetary value is not velocity. Monetary value is a fraud, so is everything attached to it. Yes and no. If I dig a ditch for you, in return for a barrel of oranges, what happens when you have no more oranges? You give me a promissory note. Those have their own issues, which is how "money" and advanced trade started. Central banks have further corrupted the banking system. It's largely legal corruption, mind you. They call that monetary policy. Which leads to true velocity of money. Let's call it value. True velocity of value. That is what BitCoin, or generically said, a de-centralised crypto currency on a blockchain offers. Velocity of value. Now I can dig that ditch and get paid via a smart contract crypto currency escrow. Meaning I know you have the money and you know you'll get the work completed. We're both happy, it's honest, fast and secure.
