Once for example the magnetosphere flipped completely for a short time span. The data was deleted almost on all servers but one they forget accidentally. Wouldn't that magnetosphere anomaly cause some seriously heavy auroras? Perhaps the anomaly was caused by Earth's magnetic poles moving or being positively charged by that particular blast of particles? Either way, nice catch. The bz component was negative so minor auroral activity is to be expected but i'm seeing it's already positive again.
