*SGH* What's left of my family needs a prayer or two please

My child I still have, but my Brother is all I have left outside of my child.

He has stage 4 Leukemia, and he is my little brother.

What he's going through is very painful just trying to survive. I realize this is nothing new to anyone else.

I just want him around for a few more years.

I'm sorry to beg like this, but there is no one else besides me who is praying for him. My child has been made an Unbeliever by her Mother, no matter how hard I try; but I still try.

ANYWAY

I know for a fact that there are some good souls on here, so can I please get a few prayers from them?

I'm going to show him this thread if there are some prayers for him.

If not, that is okay, I understand this is just some forum.

I am very sorry for not replying sooner!

I've been very busy with my brother. He's needed rides back and forth from chemo. He's needed me to stay with him after he's had it, and he's needed me to stay with him after they've given him some kind of shit shots or other that incapacitate him as well.

I've been playing old games with him as he has been able to do so.


Anyway, I'm sure this will sound weird, but I feel very blessed for each and every one of your prayers and replies.

I will be copy and pasting them into a new document and printing them out. I'll surprise him with a bit of loving and inspirational reading the next time he's sitting there during chemo!

I'm sure he'll love it!

I cannot begin to thank you all for your positivity and help. I just want you all to know that it means so much to me and what's left of my little family!

i AM REALLY SORRY OP. I am praying for you and your family. I just lost my little brother about a month ago. I was the one who got the call that he was found at a dollar general parking lot inside a van slumped over the steering wheel. Young and strong as an ox. No drugs found on him but I know he was using heroine. Keep your head up one day at a time is all you can do and also enjoy the NOW. God bless you my friend.:)

Prayers OP, but please, give us your brother's first name so we can refer to him in our prayers.

So very important to talk to your brother all you can. Ask him to share with you all the good times and bad; what makes him happiest and sad, what would he change, if anything; as his older brother, what would he like you to be better at. Recall the times when the whole family was together; the special Christmas’s and birthdays. Let him know how you feel about all these things as well; but mostly listen. You both will appreciate the love and greater friendship you develop. The more joy and caring you show him in these most difficult times, the better you both will do; and with God’s help, you will both have memories to last you a lifetime. I wish you, your brother, his close friends and your family, the peace and resolve to see you through this. All the best.

Hey there. I’ll be thinking of and praying for your little brother. I lost my dad to leukemia when he was just 42 years old. He was a strong man but lived only 9 months after being diagnosed. I know that this illness can be painful and exhausting, so I am praying that he has a pain free and comforting transition into his next form. Death is absolutely not the end for us. When we die, we rejoin god, where we become one again. We then get a choice to come back here or stay with god. Most people that pass on choose to stay with god because it’s so much less pain than the challenges of living inside a body. I just want you and your brother to know that god is real and lives in both of you, in all of us. God is in every merciful act, every act of selflessness, love, and forgiveness is an expression of god through you as a conduit. A lot of folks forget that this also means loving and forgiving yourself. When we pass on, our consciousness (which lives outside of our body) and our “selves” remain just exactly the same, only we are lighter and free without the chains of the body. There is no pain. It is said often among the nde (NEAR death experiencer) community that experiencers aren’t even sad or upset about being dead, that they can’t really understand why everyone around them is upset because they are feeling fan fucking tastic without having that sick or injured body anymore. Look into it for yourself, do the research. It’ll help you to understand what this transition is all about. The world wants you to believe the lie that death is blackness and endings and nothingness. Have faith in god. We are all just waiting to be rejoined with god, but it is not something that we get to decide.
