*SGH* What's left of my family needs a prayer or two please

Gave my bro this thread yesterday for him to read during his chemo. He smiled biggly. Then he started reading more, and I could see his eyes start to get teary, and I went to leave him and have coffee downstairs --where we're at, the coffee is pretty damned good.

He loved it --and I knew it-- he got some laughs out of a few less positive responses.

Thank you all so very, very much, from the bottom of my heart, and the only thing is I'm a bit sad I can't repay you.

Hey Lou! You and your brother made ME smile biggly when I read your post! Hang on to these moments and in years far in the future, they will STILL bring a smile to your face when you remember.

As to pay back.....you already have. More prayers said and sent.

Hey everybody who has helped us with this! Today my brother was ready to just quit it all. Pain and nausea etc.

Did my best to help him change his mind, but sometimes words are just words no matter who says them. So I let him be. Maybe he just needed some time alone without me hovering, so I decided to let it go.

I don't think he'll just give up. It's just sad to see someone you love beat down like this.

I've talked to his Oncologist since my brother signed a release of information for me. He says it will get better given time.

Just updating. I KNOW all of your prayers are working, otherwise his balding ass would have just quit by now.

In Jesus name I ask that this man be healed in every way and all his needs be met. That the pain would end and that he would be given abundant energy,finances and joy. And that he would praise the Lord you did it for him. His faith is important in this prayer.

I would also ask all to join me in prayer for my wife who has surgery this friday.

Wonderful, thank you! I always pray for others at night before bed, sounds like b.s. but it's true.

We have the Sisters of Perpetual Adoration where I live.

24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year, they pray for all Souls in this World.

One of the Sisters was a Professor of mine, she rubbed off on me A LOT.

We also had Sister Thea Bomman in our "flock" at that time. She also taught me A LOT.

I'm rambling, sorry!

I'll never forget our choir at her bedside, singing "There is a Balm in Gilead" while she lay there dying. There was not a dry eye in the room, but we somehow managed to get through it and make it beautiful. She died not long after.

SO Thank You for your unselfish prayer, I appreciate where it comes from, your heart, and God's lips to your ears.

Continuing prayers for you guys! Still thinking about you!

My brother is doing very well today. His mood and outlook are a lot better. His physical symptoms are slowly getting better, too. I got a "day off" today even.

We're alike in that we don't want to be constantly hovered over and need space sometimes. He seems well enough, and if he needs anything I'm just a phone call away.

I believe the prayers and positive energy sent his way is helping him a LOT.

It's like my bro has suddenly become inured to the rigors of Chemo! He's like his old self, and he's working again, like a mofo!
