The Pretty Reckless's "Death By Rock and Roll" is the best album I've heard since Metallica's "Black" and is a "Volume 4" that can stand up to just about any legacy band's output.

Sheryl Crowe at the very least, that's a great candidate. Everyone loves her early songs when they come on the radio. Cyndi Lauper definitely. She has the Girl Power anthem for fuck's sake!

The fact that Ted Nugent is not in the hall of fame is reason enough to not give a shit about the rock and roll hall of fame.

Even legit rock legends are not in. British acts especially. Cliff Richard is considered naff because he has been a devout, proud and vocal Christian for almost 60 years. That makes him MORE of rebel in the arena of rock n roll if you ask me and he feels the same. He's outlasted almost everyone except Jerry Lee Lewis who is also a God-fearing Christian. Yet Cat Stevens, who is a devout and vocal Muslim and nit at all "rock and roll" is in the Hall. He must have thought he was being wound up when he got the letter! But yeah, Cliff Richard and The Shadows should be in before they die.

And yeah, Rap and Hip Hop acts shouldn't be in the Hall, they have had their own Hall since 1992 for fuck's sake. No Jazz acts are in the R&R Hall and only a few "pure Blues" acts are in it.

Try and see the documentary "Lemmy" from 2010, it's brilliant. He was humble, generous to every fan, very intelligent/well read, funny as fuck and a brilliant musician.

Yeah seriously. Most of their songs, like that one, sound like the cheesiest pop rock music. I can't for the life of me understand serious music people who think they are great. I know people that simply aren't music people and kinda mainstream themselves who think Foo Fighters is an amazing band, but that is more understandable.
