Hey, y'all. Just checking in. We're still alive even though the pollen is trying to kill us. LOL I did have a bad few days with that damned stomach bug going around. I thought I was going to die on the bathroom floor. I almost just layed in the tub so I could puke and crap at the same time and just wash it down the drain. TMI, but that's how bad it was. UGH

I haven't seen the hospitalizations this low since the beginning of the shit show. We're still having to board pts in the ER due to everything besides the 'rona. I haven't had a patient test positive in the ER in a couple of weeks. We've tested at least 2 a shift and everyone is negative. No matter what people think, testing is still happening for people who are symptomatic just like they were during the middle of this. The difference is there aren't that many people who are symptomatic.

We've given 1.47 million vaccinations in MS, then add the 300k that have had covid and we're looking at about 1.7 people somewhat protected. There's only 2.9 million people in the state. Cases fluctuate, but the 7 day moving average is below 400.

We've been wide open in MS for a few weeks now. So far no significant spikes in cases and our spring break was the 2nd week in March. Most of the people here went to FL whether it was to the beaches or Disney World.

Will it last? Who knows, but it is nice for the moment.
