several reasons for that RW. 1 is we have ppl in our lives that we know will fair badly with the virus or vaccine. 2 the vaccine was rolled out too quickly. needs more time to work out some bugs see pt 1.

3 we do not trust the govern.remeember the same ppl are in charge now. those ppl were partly to blame for making a monster virus. some of them also said the virus was no big deal and that the shot was not goina work. now they swapped sides. they lied then or now.

4> being a BIO-LAB produced viorus we have no clue what its intention is. so far, several times it has shown not to act like a normal virus. this 1 does appear to mutate into a more lethal version.only goina take 1 crazed mutationn to cause the shot to b worthless.

5> sealed bunkers shut. to me that is a sign that we are in an experiment. virus escaped LAB before being finished. CHINA flipped in the beginning. TPTB dove into dumbs and sealed them. the evidence is there. they have no clue what will really happen. most of the talk has been to maintina calm over the public. they admit to this and in fact asdmmit to luying to achieve that calm.

6> how much history do we need to show that man playing Mother Nature is not a good idea? it goes badly. man has tried and tried. look back at other miracle meds. weed killers,pesticide,asbestos. even the vaccines we got as kids have been altered over time and do not work as well nowadays.

7> TRUST THE SCIENCE-well the science has warned in the last decade that overusing anti-bacterial soap and drugs could and has created a super bug. the anti-biotics do not work as well any more,if at all. this vaccine and viruses will or can go the same path. might take a while ,might not.

8> vaccine does not mean u do not get covid. it just minimizes the chance of u being in a hospital in the short run. so what bout long covid? these ppl can still spread it.
what affects is the virus and /or shot having on the ppl??

I’m most a lurker here so I don’t know all the RW reasons but really I can’t understand why he wants everyone to follow his believing.

As others stated before, if you got vaccinated, good on you. So you should be safe from those who aren't ok? Please let that people would freely decide for themselves which risk assuming. As you did taking the vaccine.

You confidently claimed on more than one occasion in this thread that people who get the shots are prevented from becoming infected. So, according to that, why should it matter to you that people refuse the shots? After all, the non-vaccinateds wouldn't be able to infect the vaccinateds. They could potentially put only themselves and fellow non-vaccinateds at risk from the virus if they got careless enough. But if that's the risk the non-vaccinated people are aware of, and which they are content with, and they still don't want to get vaccinated then why should you feel the need to push the altruism angle? Those people want to be left alone.

Maybe you could claim the altruism angle if you mean specifically for the sake of helping the smaller, but not unimportant, amount of folks who are immunocompromised (3% of population). I assume that's not what you were referring to, though...

The world cannot continue on like this for a whole lot longer.

It's pretty obvious now that this isn't just going to burn out on it's own.

So, there's 3 options left.

1. Make this the new normal and deal with what we have in the past year forever.

2. Take a China style approach, nationalizing all industry and resources and lock down hard enough to get to a New Zealand level of control. This would mean pretty much putting everyone who isn't a public utility or food distribution worker under house arrest for a year.

3. Vaccinate enough people that we can get numbers low enough that contact tracing can eventually wipe out the virus.

Option 2 isn't possible for anything other than first world countries, so that wouldn't even work without permanent and vigorously enforced travel restrictions including a militarized southern border in the US with orders to shoot to kill.

Fiscally, I don't know the logistics of how a country can afford to keep its population vaccinated with new shots every 6 to 12 months for a virus that mutates as fast as this one does and taking into consideration the cutting edge technology being used to develop these vaccines. It's extremely expensive.

But physically? The US could absolutely maintain vaccine shots every 6 to 12 months very easily. We have the infrastructure in place to support that kind of operation.

The current vaccines cost about $35 each.

We have a fleet of 20 B-2 bombers that cost $41 million dollars per year to maintain... each.

They have pretty much only ever been used to bomb goat herders with AK-47s, a huge waste of their advanced stealth capabilities.

That right there would pay for 23 million doses per year, I think we can afford it.

Would be about 15 billion dollars per year. We spent 1 billion on museums in the last COVID bill.
