Drink something sugar like a soda or OJ, or eat a LITTLE BIT of candy. Wait at least 15 minutes and retest. I always forget and eat that 1 piece too much. ETA: I can get very sleepy after a meal. Doesn't always happen, but enough times. One of my docs, a couple of years ago, told me to "Eat to live. Don't live to eat." Kind of hard to do sometimes. I used to love to cook new things. Now, not as much. I'm learning still. Last Edited by Texan Buckeye on 02/28/2021 10:44 AM |

BS JAZZZ50 2020 The SHTF literally as TP ran out. we went from being over the target, to actually being the target. too close to the truth. if i had a dollar for everytime someone says "merge" without using the word, i'd b so green i'd b King of Mars. |

Quoting: CleverCreator The blood sugar thing is disturbing. It is disturbing. My sister who is not a diabetic is having issues with acute hypoglycemia. An hour and a half after eating her blood glucose drops sometimes into the 40's with elevated heart rate, diaphoresis, weakness and shaking. Last week she had episodes of chest pain. She has been exposed to Covid twice in the last two months but has tested negative. She has an appointment with an endocrinologist in late March. I have her taking Quercetin, zinc and D3, I couldn't get her on board to do a telemedicine appointment for Ivermectin. (We are both nurses. I am on the more natural end and she is a pure pharma girl.) |

This was the same time I began experiencing my sugar problems. I have been in some pretty bad situations in my life, but my stress level has never reached the levels it did with that company. That stress is gone now, which makes me wonder if I should just maintain my dietary changes and start dialing back on the Metformin a little bit. I switched to Coke Zero Cherry and A&W Diet Root Beer because those two drinks do not taste like diet. I also increased my protein intake, which is just fine with me, since I'm a true carnivore. I cut my A1C from 12 to 6 in just two weeks. I need to get another blood test and see how that's going. I had to cut back on protein after the kidney fail. They couldn't process well. I really miss beef! Especially Rib Eye Steak. Get another A1C, if it's time. You may not need Metformin anymore, with your diet changes. I was on insulin after the kidney fail because of the antibiotics I had to take. Can never take Metformin again. After about a month, I didn't need the insulin anymore. That last until last year. Pretty sure I was never positive, so I have no idea what the trigger is this time. GGGRRR!! |

Riff summed up the transmission statements better, but they still aren’t catching all the cases. :) But that has been the point since the beginning.... after reading all the modeling research plus the the anecdotes from Timbuktu to Kalamazoo..... Most models agree.... the US is between 30% to 40% infected. That doesn’t account for reinfections. Why The Pandemic Is 10 Times Worse Than You Think Less than 50% The model has not been published or peer-reviewed yet, but lead researcher, Jeffrey Shaman, an infectious disease specialist at Columbia University, shared the data exclusively with NPR. Here are more of the startling takeaways. One-third of the U.S. population has already been infected. The sustained periods of high transmission in the U.S. also mean that by now, quite a large share of the U.S. population has been infected beyond what the tallies of reported cases would indicate. Nationwide, Shaman estimates that about 120 million people have now been infected, just over a third of the U.S. population. [link to www.npr.org (secure)] |
