Friend had to order a few new appliances said delay is 4-6 weeks. Hope they get them, but I’m guessing there is a good chance they will get further delayed.

We got all four of our new appliances within a week. However, furniture shopping is resulting in some interesting statements on availability. Depending on which brand and model we choose, it could be available anywhere from immediately to April, 2022.

The stress of the past 18 months has led to a national - if not global - descent into depression and anxiety, and it's manifesting itself in multiple ways. People are trying to suppress their anxiety, resulting in bursts of anger and rage at the slightest provocation.

Perhaps my decades of struggling with my own anxiety and depression during "normal" times has made me more capable of dealing with that kind of stress, or maybe I've just reached the "acceptance" stage of what's coming down the road.

I'm remembering Uncle Doom's prediction for supply chain collapse in the UK and US for last October, and I dismissed him as a reliable source after it didn't happen. Perhaps it just took longer than anticipated?

We were off by a year. But I am beyond thankful for that year.
