We are investigating a possible case of monkeypox in NYC. The patient is being cared for at BellevueHosp. Our Public Health Lab will conduct preliminary tests, which — if positive - will be sent to CDCgov for confirmatory testing.

So..the going story is that males having sex with males are spreading the Monkeypox. However, given the number of countries reporting cases then are we looking at something beyond fluid and droplet transmission.

Standard Monkeypox has an R0 of 2.
With an incubation of up to 21 days.

Which means we are, or close to, getting another flop on the cycle (assuming ~21 days).

Dodged a major bullet this week, I had to work at the last minute and bailed on a turkey hunting trip with with a friend and his family last weekend.

Over course of the week, one by one they all tested positive along with everyone else in their households.

lady's FB got changed quickly no longer public. she had to back down the statements. made her claim she had covid. was 5mths ago in winter. doubtful that any animals got to the blood and then carried the virus off elsewhere at that time of year. wonder thou bout the truck driver or others helping clean it up. was 20-50 ppl if memory serves me.
