The incapacity of registering deaths and of capturing all COVID related deaths skews the pandemic toll not only in African countries, but also in Latin America (Mexico, Peru and Ecuador have excess deaths that are twice or thrice the official Covid toll), and Russia has also recognized its incapacity of detecting all their cases and admitted its likely capturing only a third.
