So, I started a discussion with my students in my Abnormal Psych class about the Coronaphobia article that came up a week or so ago. They were pretty much in agreement with what we were saying -- that it was pathologizing the very things we have been advised to practice during a pandemic, and that it seemed almost like mocking or gaslighting people who were taking the threat seriously.

I actually rather doubt that was the intention of the authors, though it is the effect it has on people who read.

One of my students asked who funded the study, which is a damn fine question. I intend to find out.
