Bastetcat, thanks for asking. She seems to be ok. I'm going to get the name of my bil's vet and try to make an appt. It may be a tooth problem that I can't see. I give her canned and dry food. She eats from both. She LOVES gravy! LOL I used to give her the canned as a treat, but I give it to her every day now. She doesn't eat as much of the kibble anymore.

Turns out, getting vet appt.'s are pretty hard to get still. Covid protocols. They don't make as many as they used to. I've called a couple in town and one isn't taking new patients. The other didn't have any openings for several months.

I think I'm going to go ahead and give her a wormer. Can't remember when she had one last. It's been awhile.

yup, worms and different Parasites can cause weight loss especially if she goes out and does what's in her nature and that's Hunt, even if she is not eating the Critters it's the fleas from the Critters that cause the problems. Chewy has lots of different Meds at a reasonable price depending on the Med.

Hope you get her fixed up hf

We have a lot of rescues, no dogs atm since they are easier to find homes for but we do have 11 Cats and two Kittens atm anyway about 6 weeks ago they all got sick with something, runny eyes, sneezing and a horrible dry cough, our vet said something was going around in Cats but wasn't sure what it was? i got Antibiotics from him to treat all, it took about ten days for all to get better, the cost for the Antibiotics and eye cream was $36, he does discount for us since he knows our situation with the Rescues.

We had a vet like yours when we lived in texas. She gave us some pretty good discounts when we had wounded animals. I miss her! I'm trying to find someone like her here, but right now, I'd settle for just an appt.!

Missy doesn't go outside anymore, but we have had a couple of mice that she ate. That's what makes me tend toward worms.

Glad your kits are doing better. They do seem to get the crud when they're nursing. I used to take warm water on a cotton ball and wash it all out of their eyes. Gross! but it worked! They never had the cough and runny nose, though.
