In case of interest to those here-

I know a local couple who had covid in Jan. They went to disney (not sure which one) recently. They caught a different strain of covid. They both were very sick in the hospital, and the wife died.

They were in their 40s to very early 50s, and were in pretty good shape prior.

We are well, thank you! Daughter is feeling way better. We just returned home from camping (cheater camping in an rv). It was lovely weather for June in Tx! We don't usually take the entire summer off from school, but I think we are this year. Feels good looking forward to a long break. We may end up bored and start back earlier than planned haha.

yea i was out and about today and noticed a few things, beef prices have really jumped and overall the Meats department was pretty bare, iceberg lettuce for $3.00 a head, Celery was $2.79 for non organic, breads (house brands) were up 30 cents or more a loaf, no one wearing masks in the store except me, the Mask signs are gone, did see an older couple shopping that wore their mask way below the chin, also went to pickup a script for my FIL, everyone in the Pharmacy had a mask on and every other seat was blocked from sitting in but no mask signs there either, Gasoline was back below $3.00, it was $2.99.9 a gallon lol oh almost forgot, eared Corn is a buck an Ear, i was like gtfo so i did without purchasing a thing, i was not planning to buy anything anyway it was just a little recon since i needed fuel and my FIL's prescription, it's looking to be a long costly or do without Summer!

Seen my first Rattlesnake of the season Today, it was crossing the road so i stopped grabbed my walking stick from the back and gave it a little poke, gave a short little Rattle then struck my stick, Timber Rattler about 3 ft or so, disappeared in the Ferns before i could get a pic, should have taken the pic before i poked at it duh!
