Good morning! Just finding time to check in. Things are going good in MS. We've been fully open since March and numbers are steady in the 100's of new cases a day. Deaths are down from Covid. Lowest numbers of positive cases, hospitalized cases and ICU cases since March of 2020. We are still seeing people that are sicker than shit from chronic illnesses. I feel it's going to be a while before things level out again regarding chronic illness.

As y'all know, I had the Pfizer vaccine in December/January. I'm in a vaccine study at work and have been getting my antibodies tested monthly. I'm proud to report I still have antibodies present. I don't have any side effects that I'm aware of. Even went through the scanner at a few airports and no chip was detected/s. We went to Exuma last week and I had a PCR test, negative. I'm headed to the USVI for a 13 week travel assignment so I had to get tested again, negative. My husband had Moderna, finishing in February, and he hasn't had any issues either.

I'll continue to check in from the Virgin Islands and give reports on Covid there, but since I'm heading down during hurricane season my reporting may switch to that. LOL

In all seriousness, I've been amazed at how divisive Covid vaccinations and masks are. In MS especially, I can clearly see it along political and racial lines. It's also crazy to me how the Trump supporters are the main people against vaccinations when he's the one who "Warp Speeded" the vaccines into existence. I often wonder if he would've won how many anti-vaxxers would have been the first in line. I'll still love you if you get the vaccine and I'll still love you if you don't get it. It's an extremely personal choice that is yours alone to make.
