I'm in agreement, I think part of the problem is the slowness of the waves. People are getting used to the reports of it not being over and the narrative by MSM is that not enough people are vaccinated for covid-19 to go away feels like there's progress towards that.

What I mean is that most people no longer feel an urgency to safeguard themselves especially given the narrative that the vaccines are safe, effective so covid-19 now is no longer a *real threat.

So they ignore the blips about rising cases here but not there, in that town but not this one,other countries are ignored altogether since it's not immediate to their circle.

I thank my lucky stars every day that I came back to GLP after a many years hiatus and immediately fell into the big covid thread. I believe that either one or both of my kids or l would have caught this virus unawares in short order.
