If only these folks understood how this happened. It’s not like a pandemic burnt folks.

Avoid at all costs.

I am in a decent facility too…. Herman memorial in The Woodlands, Texas.

I have had three meals in 72 hours. Food is good… just can’t get any.

Nurses take forever to address issues. My IV has beeped with errors for an hour. Nurses are 20 feet away and just chatting nonsense. I press the button and they don’t even answer… let it roll over to main operator who has to page. They still ignore.

Sunday thru today… four days. Every day a different hospital doctor. The doctors are in the room for a few minutes at most…. One for less than 30 seconds. I don’t get the same answer twice, ever…. Hey are clueless. Can’t make any progress. Can’t get any information on test results. They are drawing blood and doing all this crap… well, what are the results.

I told them to discharge me…. Doctor came in and said he would not, I would have to leave on my own against medical advice. Big argument. My brother is a doctor in Florida - he called in and made some progress so I am going to stay here for now.

They come in three times to scan bed…. So worried about it being stolen. They scan the IV machine three days in a row too… so worried about that. But the bed sheets never changed. The towel in the bathroom has been wet and on the floor three days… they don’t care about that.

Seriously…. If I had known I would have just killed myself instead of go through this crap.

And I have not had an American born nurse yet. One American born floor assistant. One just off the boat from Haiti barely speaks English.

This place is a joke.

a full revolt with several CW's mixed cross the nation and a decade from now u might find peace. i stated before covid thou.

the economic damage from covid for the 1st year was speced at 5-10, then we got the riots. $$ recovery is out 25yrs. and that gets us back to the disaster we had pre-covid only. which was the edge of going full HI.

Well, I kept the peas alive longer than I thought I could. We had a massive heat wave (upper 90s) the past couple of weeks. They seemed to love it, but some type of powdery mildew killed them off. I managed to harvest a handful of pods for a photo op. I took out the peas and planted some cucumbers this afternoon.

My husband is out at sea in the Baltic for a big exercise. Let's hope it stays an exercise.

We pay for gas here by the liter. It's about $6.25 per gallon, but we get reimbursed for some of that (taxes) if we use a certain gas station. I forget the name of the gas station, but the logo is a 6-legged fire-breathing dog, so it's pretty recognizable. Lol.

They aren't picking up our garbage as often lately. This navy housing complex (all apartments) has dumpsters every half block or so, and they are overflowing. I'm guessing gas and diesel prices are causing cutbacks on the number of days the trucks run. The problem is we don't have an alternative. I saw a comment on YouTube the other day from a rural person who said their "transfer station" trucks weren't coming anymore because they couldn't afford the gas. SO, people in the cities and suburbs.....get ready to be taxed out the wazoo for this crap. And people in the rural areas, you will most likely be on your own.

Edit: The YT comment was a person in the rural US. I am in Italy, where the local government is in control of our trash collection. Just wanted to clarify.

Isn't swirling down the drain fun? /sarc

Grass that would be cut on the sides of roads..etc. seems to be occurring less. Which makes sense given the increase costs.

Pisses me off when people assume females outside their door are nurses. There are aides, lab techs, food and nutrition, secretaries, students, respiratory therapy, physical therapy, etc that also wear scrubs in hospitals.

As far as the sheets and shit not being changed, that's what happens when there are no more AIDES to help the nurses. I'm sorry, but unless you pee, puke, shit or bleed in your bed I don't have time to change them.

I think I posted here a while back that hospitals were bringing in cheap international nurses instead of paying us more. Well, it's starting!

I've been warning everyone I know, everywhere I post about the healthcare system for years.

Y'all stay safe out there!
People suck.
