Hey, everyone. Ive been lurking forever. I had to get back to living life. Well, I tested positive Sunday night. Been sick as heck. This morning seems better. Lingering fatigue but the pain is mainly gone.

The biggest issue for me was terrible muscle pain and fever.

hang in there. hoping all u ppl recover.

seems b a lot of holdout ppl getting infected lately. trying to word this question carefully, not just for EG but others as well. did u change something in the protocals or get out with others more than before? are ya's still using good masks?

i ask in hopes of giving others a heads up on ways to stay virus-free. i do realize it ain't easy. GF and I still haven't seen her family since holidays of 2019. saw my mom once, way back in spring 2021. that was just before she decided to get the shot. my step-dad helped us get this car. we were masked when we rode with him. that was last fall just before he came down with the virus. i'm sure we look funny wearing half-faced masks and gloves.

I didn't change anything. But my husband started to travel more often thanks to the Ukraine situation. He is still wearing a legit N95 mask on commercial flights (as are most people over here in Europe, which tends to be a little more cautious than the US in general).

But when he had to go to London in March.....(1) the UK was having a major Covid outbreak, and (2) they traveled on a small military plane and didn't wear masks on the plane and probably not in some of the meetings. Several of them came back with Covid. I was exposed several days before he came down with symptoms.

My personal opinion is that the masks do provide a serious level of protection, as well as the mitigation efforts such as plexiglass and standing six feet apart in line, etc. I understand why people are tired of those things, but they do work. I continue to stay away from crowds and mask up when I need to go to the store. Covid was not the worst illness I have ever had, but it was not fun and I don't recommend it.
