LJS, am sure u enjoyed that. the hills of ARK is a nice place to b. the hills of here where i am but warmer in winter. only real bad thing is they are closer to Yellowstone.

This is just my opinion. Y'all can take it for whatever you think it's worth or you can ignore it. Up to you.

I haven't posted much lately because honestly, I didn't have much to contribute. I was wrapped up in what's going on here at home and put the forum aside. The world problems are just too big for me to handle right now. That's not to say that I'm ignoring what's been going on. I'm very aware, I just don't have any answers.

I've always been a fixer. I've worn myself out fixing things for family and friends. I wish I could stop trying to do it, but it's who I am. I'll probably be trying to fix something on the last day.

One thing I warned about early on was being too isolated. I knew that people wouldn't/couldn't stay that way and it was honestly foolish to think it even could happen. The world isn't structured that way and we would've imploded long ago if everyone holed up for the duration. And now, we have more possible pandemics, another possible world war, more riots coming, just more of who knows what else. Life has always been risky from day one. Being born is risky. Dying is a sure thing. We start dying as soon as we're born. Are there things that should've been done differently? Of course, but in the end, it really doesn't matter. The outcome was the same, no matter what we might have done better or differently. The deck was always stacked against us.

All I ask is that we all take time to read carefully what is written and consider who the person is that posted it. I know how easy it is to misunderstand a typed conversation. I've been on both sides before and will be again. We don't always realize how much body language and voice inflection contributes to conversation, how much it helps us to understand the other person's pov.

Ok. I know I've just stepped on a few toes. I can deal with that. What I can't deal with is hit and run posts that show you're hurt somehow. That's not fair. Good friends don't do that. If you've been hurt, go to that person and talk it out. That's what pm's are for. Don't make statements and assume they understand, because it appears they don't.

Hate me if you want. I have broad, if tired, shoulders. I stand by what I've said and I hope it's clear to everyone. Ban me if you must, I'll deal. I just don't like to see misunderstandings mess up friendships. I see too much of it irl.

We really are an eclectic group of unlikely friends, but I consider ALL of you my friends.

I'm feeling the same way.... Just hopeless, sick of the hate and greed and lies from tptb. Brainwashing propaganda at every turn. It's so exhausting.

I'm still isolating but have went to a few gatherings, mainly outside... Was so good to see friends and people I'm close to. No covid that I'm aware of.... So still dodging bullets. I feel like one of the only people who haven't had it yet, lol

I hate knowing it's not safe and I'm not willing to give up my isolation quite yet but man...I do have to say I'm jealous of everyone who can go back to "normal"

I don't know what is causing people to leave the thread other than exhaustion. I consider this thread and the original OGs of covid very close in terms of how internet interactions can go.

Let's all take a deep breath and make sure to do something that brings us joy daily. That helped me get through my darkest times emotionally and it has been helping me again more recently.

we've all had our own personal issues to deal with.i can handle being a hermit if i could get some luck going my way. we're in the slow burn for a long haul. hard to find anything to joke about and lighten the mood lately.

We've been to a very few risky things. We went to Missouri the other weekend and went to the ball game to see our oldest grand sing with her school. It wasn't packed and the worst trouble we had was the horrible heat. I wasn't sure we would go, but decided at the last minute. Sorry Riff, I didn't have time to set anything up this time.

I have decided that I'm not going to be held hostage by fear again in my life. I don't take chances lightly, but I will not give up the joy of every day life. My time will come when it's supposed to and nothing I do will change that. I understand others have to walk a different path because of responsibilities to others. I commend you for your sacrifice, but lately I'm concerned. CC, reach out. I still have a phone.

Dyin' is right about being tired. I think we all are and it's not over. This is going to keep coming at us and we need each other more than ever. We are stronger together and I don't think we'll ever go back to life as we knew it 2 years ago. Love you all.

have u seen some of the equipment for harvesting food? they shake a tree, fruit drops onto a cloth type collector that rolls back up into the storage/shipping container. cows at this moment already milk themselves. they walk into a box, that feeds them. the box is a portable milking station. no farmer needed.

there is already huge equipment that can cut down a tree, AFTER it removes the branches.

i don't take much stock in ads. just like the old FEMA ads that ran around while back, showed us floating all over the house. we did stay home but didn't defy gravity.
