Wise Words From A Long Time Silver Stacker....
This is not my quote but borrowed from a long time silver investor....Wise words!

"Just a few things to keep in mind, from a longtime Silverback
Due Diligence
Yesterday, I did something I never thought I'd do. I shared a "stack pic" to a bunch of strangers on the Internet lol. One comment even said it's not very smart to advertise like this, and I agree. Bear in mind, however, the post wasn't about arrogance and showing off how much money I have. It was simply to demonstrate to anyone new to silver how one old guy has been doing it.

The phenomenon with WSBs, and now what's happening with WSS and the #SilverSqueeze is something I never thought I'd live to see happen in my lifetime. And I know plenty of other old time silverbugs who feel the same exact way. It's a very exciting time to be alive.

However, in my view, there are two really big things working against this movement--and no offense, but I think younger generations have been given a bad rap for being all about the whole "get rich quick" and "instant gratification" stuff. Maybe that's just a stereotype, but if you ARE approaching silver with either of those two things in mind, you might find yourself in trouble. Big trouble.

Quick story: I have a friend who, to this day, is still a little mad at me because I told him about silver in 2011 and he ended up buying SAEs at the time that cost over $50. Now that spot plus the increased premiums on Eagles are around $40 again, he's not quite so mad. He still has all his silver, but he always brings up the fact that there have been much better investments over the past 10 years than silver.

The point is, silver is notoriously volatile. And now, it should be blatantly obvious to anyone spending just 5 minutes of research as to why that is. It's something I've had to deal with since day one, but you know what? I still don't care. I just like the metal.

My strategy for 15 years has been to buy only what I could afford--just a little bit (around $100-$200) every month. Slow and steady wins the race. In the past 15 years, I've seen the spot price go from $8 all the way up to $50 and I bought every step of the way. And in this way, I dollar-cost averaged my purchases. Meaning 1oz bought at $8 and 1oz bought at $50 means my dollar cost average is $29 per oz (8+50/2).

Honestly, I don't have a crystal ball and I have no idea what's going to happen going forward. Can retail investors actually pull off a global protest and bring the corruption to its knees? Is such a David vs. Goliath battle even possible? Man, I hope so. But even if it isn't, I'm not going to stop buying. For me, every single federal reserve note I've traded for an ounce of silver is another middle finger to an evil and corrupt system, and bottom line is, that's the reason why I've bought so heavily into an investment that for so many years has offered such horrible returns. It's just one person saying in my own way, "no, I will not comply." I personally do not care about having little to no gains. For me, it's not about that at all. I see a kindred spirit between myself and the modern "diamond hands." I've felt so alone for so many years.

I've been protesting the system for a long time now and I'm absolutely delighted to see so many people finally waking up and doing the same thing. It's so amazing to see this idea finally catching on. I love it!

Of course, none of this is financial advice. It's just the opinions and observations of one random stupid ape who no one should ever listen to. I'm not even qualified to wash your car, let alone offer up financial advice. Always do your own due diligence. And never invest more than you can afford to lose.

So a word of caution with silver: don't expect gain porn like you see on WSBs and with cryptos. That's not going to happen unless we can actually pull this off, which, truthfully, might be a long shot. So, to conclude, this is how I personally view the current state of affairs:

I continue to buy small amounts on a monthly basis because the bottom line is, I LIKE THE METAL. I like real money, not fake paper.

I see my silver buys as LONG TERM investments. I BUY AND HODL, regardless of where the price is, and I COUNT MY WEALTH IN OUNCES, NOT FEDERAL RESERVE NOTES.

IF (and that's a BIG IF) by some miracle we DO happen to pull this off and expose the corruption for all to see, then any big movement in silver price is simply a bonus to me.

Remember, those who expect nothing are never disappointed.

And as a final thought, a "big number" in the amount of dollars needed to buy an ounce of silver would be a nice reward for all those warriors who took this gamble, but the ULTIMATE GAIN would be humanity winning an actual, bona fide SPIRITUAL WAR: A RETURN TO HONEST MONEY AND HONEST MARKETS.

REMEMBER THAT ABOVE ALL ELSE!"

I didn't have a strategy.....my father was a stacker and instilled having a mortgage free roof over the head and PMs as a insurance policy....I just started buying PMs after a stint in the army and starting my civilian life....

I just bought a few pieces on pay days and with bonus/commission money....didn't really "stack" them....I just tossed them into a .50 cal. ammo box......when 1 got filled, I started another.....I didn't count them until 20 something years passed....lol....when I was making more money, I started buying fractional gold bullion....

The strategy, if there is one is not spending money I would miss to stack.....this way, I was never tempted to sell.....I set up a cash emergency fund to protect my PMs....lol.....

I still see my PMs as a SHTF insurance policy.....it never seem an "investment" to me....

Same.

I have 500 ounces in coins, and 12 one kilogram bars. I have no idea what it's currently "worth" in fiat bucks, and I don't care to find out. The only reason I have it, is because I think there's a fair chance the global fiat money system goes into hyperinflation and dies within the foreseeable future, and I want to have at least something of value left in case it does.

Precious metals is a SHTF insurance policy. Nothing more, nothing less.

Actually, change my mind.

Why os a physical gold etf like sgol a good investment even at 28% tax rate when stock are taxed at regular cap gains.

I feel like it is impossible to break profit at such a high rate. Am I wrong?

I did similar, many years ago, every pay I bought small amounts of silver when it was cheap. I bought it through the post, after a few years the novelty of new silver arriving wore off, so I started just throwing it in the cupboard still in the post packs.

A couple of years ago I went through it all and realised I had much more than I could carry..{that shit is heavy) So I gathered it up, sold it and bought gold...

Now Im a gold stacker.

I care more about the GSR than I do the fiat exchange rate.

As long as silver is above 1:15 to gold it is cheap.

Once it closes that gap I plan to trade most of my silver for gold. And if it swings the other way I will trade most of my gold for silver.

Compared to trash jewelry that has little gold the price seems high but it is reasonable when comparing to bullion (which is what it is). They base prices on the weight of the piece plus a relatively small markup which they show on the listing. I've bought and sold back to them and it was a smooth process.

24k is softer but small imperfections just make it unique, it won't get destroyed unless you suffer an accident that would take off the body part it's attached to.
