Like many other liberal havens, Seattle does this kind of stuff on purpose. They make it more attractive so homeless druggies will flood in from all over the USA, & then they cry about how bad the homeless crisis is so they can get federal aid. It's all about getting hand outs from Uncle Sam. It was proven not too long ago that Seattle was getting enough money to fight their homeless problem that they could actually give every single homeless person (including every homeless child) over $100K a year. That would mean they had enough money coming in to give a homeless couple with 3 children half a million dollars a year. Yet, those homeless kids barely see any of that money.

Haha! Junkies will never stop slamming once they start. Sure, the might take a couple of weeks off from the needle, squirting it up their asses instead, but they'll miss the intensity and efficiency of shooting it straight into their blood stream, and be right back to the jab, maybe(hopefully) doubling down to make up for the fixes that were lacking. Nothing is better than injecting a drug into a vein, if the ass-enama method was better, you can bet your ass that's how hospitals would be medicating people.

Thank you for that. But this sort of thing is, I suspect, widespread. From personal connections I know that habits are supported in "drop in" centres for addicts in Frankfurt, Germany, for example. Centres pride themselves on providing clean needles and a "safe space" where they can inject themselves without fearing intervention. This is, perhaps, the first step towards talking to them and perhaps seeing how they can be helped, but the real problem is that the SYMPTOMS and not the CAUSES are addressed - as in so many other areas. Change is not going to happen until the causes are fully investigated and eradicated.
