Where did you come up with this Obama list, OP? I find this interesting because I recently saw something about India widely adopting English as a common language. It's mostly younger people but that means that soon the old languages will die out.
No way the French will ever give up their language. I read something about Macron wanting French as the official language of the European Parliament. He's pissed that most everyone speaks English.
What you say about AI may be so (makes sense) but more people being able to communicate with each other through a common language is good. Like so many things, there's an upside and downside.
