I had no idea I was getting a second $1200 Economic Impact Payment - got it today

Remember to thank Biden for it no matter your political affiliation, it was him who made this happen.

It hasn't been approved by Congress yet.

January 11, 2020 Update - Economic Impact Payments (EIP2)

We are pleased that a large majority of our customers have received their second Economic Impact Payment (EIP2). However, we were notified today that there are others where the funds are still with the IRS. If you did not receive your payment, you will likely see it when the IRS sends out the rest of the direct deposit payments the last week of January. Some recipients of EIP2 will receive their payment by check or prepaid debit card. Those payments will begin processing the last week of January but will likely take longer to reach recipients.

I have the money in my bank and the Direct Deposit letter in my hand

Second one was $600 and mine came in January.
It was $600 per person so you got 2 people?
That means your first one last April should have been $2400.

It’s the second stimulus, the one for $600 each, EIP-2.
My letter for $600 also called it EIP-2
The new or third stimulus hasn’t been approved yet.

Who is eligible for the economic impact payment?
Tax filers with adjusted gross income up to $75,000 for individuals and up to $150,000 for married couples filing joint returns will receive the full payment. For filers with income above those amounts, the payment amount is reduced by $5 for each $100 above the $75,000/$150,000 thresholds. Single filers with income exceeding $99,000 and $198,000 for joint filers with no children are not eligible. Social Security recipients and railroad retirees who are otherwise not required to file a tax return are also eligible and will not be required to file a return.

Eligible taxpayers who filed tax returns for either 2019 or 2018 will automatically receive an economic impact payment of up to $1,200 for individuals or $2,400 for married couples and up to $500 for each qualifying child.

I similar happen once to me 20+ years ago. Surprise, the IRS has sent you an additional refund by adding deductions I had "overlooked".

6 months later, another IRS letter, too many deductions, we have to apply the Alternative Minimum Tax and fine you $200 for not doing this in the first place.

I have been a working man all my life since I joined the Navy in 1970. Which means I have been paying the Feds most of my life

Working souls pay for all the stuff

I look at this as money I sent in through 50 years of working and getting a little back

the last check was $600. so idk what payment you received but none of us got 1200.

I received the same letter. Dated February 5, 2021. I have not received payment though. If I wasn’t a full technology retard, I’d post a pic of the letter. I was afraid to open the letter, coming from the IRS, I was like what.....can the past two years get any worse ugh. Luckily it was the IRS telling me they were sending me money but I’m sure it will almost balance out what I have to pay in taxes this year.

If he is married it is the second check President Trump made happen. We received the $1200 check on January 4. I was not expecting it either.

Chiden's democrat wish list of $1.9T has not been approved by congress, nor should it be in its current state. I hope there is a fight to keep the extra BS out of it. Most of the bill does not serve to help with Covid 19 issues.
