Yea, one of my coworkers Dad got Covid, sent him into CHF, he had had a checkup earlier in the year, and his heart was fine.

my sister caught the flu (several years ago) she couldn't kick it, the virus attacked her heart, she was left with heart failure after, she's in and out of the hospital has a pacemaker, but she's doing pretty good (all things considered)

I had a flu virus attack my heart when I was 35. I am now 62. It took 30 years of heart drugs and a defibrillator to save my life. Its called idiopathic dilated cardiomyopathy and it is caused by the flu virus. These viruses will change the electrical function of your heart and also weaken the heart muscle.
