How the fuck do you get heart problems from a virus?

I had a flu virus attack my heart when I was 35. I am now 62. It took 30 years of heart drugs and a defibrillator to save my life. Its called idiopathic dilated cardiomyopathy and it is caused by the flu virus. These viruses will change the electrical function of your heart and also weaken the heart muscle. I was border line transplant candidate from a dam flue virus that I caught on an airplane. Covid will do the same.
