We are to follow the Gospel of Jesus Christ, not that of a false apostle and usurper.

Oh, and must be baptized, by immersion, in the name of Jesus Christ for forgiveness of sin. Funny that everyone here seemed to leave that part out.

Jesus never did any such thing.. the roman church added that to the bible so they could claim Peter as their first pope.. it is not truth.

Can’t help wondering why it bothers some posters so much that people chose to be Catholic. Really. We just don’t see anti-Methodist, anti-Reformed Druid, Anti-Semitic (even the “J” word is prohibited), and certainly not anti-Islamic threads posted on this forum. But bring up the Catholic Church, and it’s open season for comments that range from mildly disrespectful to arrogantly dismissive to venomously vile and blasphemous; and, sad to say, many of these are submitted by individuals who identify themselves as Christians, but who clearly possess only a skewed superficial awareness of Catholicism.

Hate the Catholic Church? Don’t join it! But it’s not your task to lure Catholics to your man-founded denomination. The faithless Catholics have already found their way to one of your congregations, or to none at all. Nobody is going to convert the faithful ones, as they will never leave the Eucharistic Presence of Our Lord (oh that’s right, John 6... the only Scripture passage that Protestants DON’T take literally), Holy Mass and the Sacraments, found in the only Church established by Christ Himself.
