Going from floor to floor was done on long gradual wheel chair ramps and the massive operating lamps were still the primary lighting in the larger guest rooms. Beds were the old industrial strength hospital types with sides that could be moved up and down too. The place just had an air of lingering agony and pain to it that set in on both of us very quickly. Another place with an extremely bad vibe to it was the old Brand family graveyard in Glendale California but you can almost expect that from an old secluded graveyard. Interesting statuary and a small stone pyramid though with a family picnic area of all things, for sunny days when visiting the ancestors I guess. The pyramid and a couple of the childrens graves: [link to ucarecdn.com (secure)] |

That's a confused understanding of "hospitality", lol! That pyramid tomb is cool! Like the one at the ending of the 1979 Peter Sellers movie, Being There... |

We took a cab from the train station (which is near Wrigley field) to our hotel. The cabbie told us we had to drive through an area called the war zone. There was an actual shooting as we drove through. We drive right next to the body lying on the ground all bloody, not moving. It was unnerving at the time. I've been in many creepy places since. No bromo dude... |

Anonymous Coward (OP) User ID: 22482927 United Kingdom 02/25/2021 02:29 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | A lot of places family have lived in pa that’s old as hell and has a lot of history. Kinzua going out towards Erie is pretty cool!! A tornado knocked the bridge down along time ago and you can still see it’s path shredded trees everywhere. It’s like a beach pier in mid air hundreds of feet up. There’s even glass you can stand on at the end. I always wanted to visit Gettysburg but haven’t went yet. Quoting: Anonymous Coward 80009983 That's cool! There's a TV show in the UK at least called, Abandoned Engineering. Awesome show, some jaw-dropping stuff from around the world. Cheers! |

Anonymous Coward User ID: 27648869 United States 02/25/2021 02:36 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | After College, I went to Japan to travel. I crossed over to Tokushima and eventually at one point I ended up in Nagoro, Japan. The place was inhabited by a large number of dolls everywhere! They call one of the Villages there, Scarecrow Village. That whole area is the creepiest place that I've ever been, seen, or experienced, and I'v e been all over. I never felt as if I were in danger, but it was so creepy that I couldn't stay very long without thinking that something might happen. It just got to me. Being there once was enough, and I have no desire to go back. |

User ID: 79044425 United States 02/25/2021 02:37 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | Lots.... Worked in a house that had cages built into a few rooms.....the owner sez his son has mental issues and sometimes get violent .....they lock him in one of the rooms while they slept to protect the family...big guy too, I saw size 15 shoes.... During a off trail hike, I found the foundation of a old cabin in the middle of the woods....nothing around for 20 miles....still had a small family burial plot behind the foundation...could read the grave markers, looks to be Cyrillic with partial dates from 1700s.... it was remote enough that there was no graffiti or debris from kids partying there....I marked it on a map for rangers.... |
